Nissan Promises Two Solid Years of Innovations

Recently, Nissan has made it known that over the next two years, they will be aggressively updated their lineup. Namely: a total of 20 brand-new and/or heavily refreshed models by 2014. We've been watching to see how it all unfolds, and after the North American International Auto Show, Connell Nissan has some key details about what you might be able to expect in the next few years.
Before we get into details, let's be clear: Nissan isn't doing this because they're lineup is lacking by any means. Rather, they're embarking on a journey that will unify and harmonize the Nissan brand image. More specifically: across the board, the automaker will enhance their desire to offer first-rate, innovative and affordable vehicles.
But let's talk specifics. First, they've promised a redesigned Nissan Altima, complete with a hybrid variant and a slew of new features. Not every model in the Nissan lineup with get a hybrid powertrain option, but you can expect a variety of fuel-efficient and alternative-fuel models in the next two years. Including, but certainly not limited to an electric version of their NV 200 van that will prove very useful as a fleet vehicle. And, the Nissan Titan is ready for some decent upgrades, as well.
The model that generated the most buzz in Detroit was probably the all-new Nissan Pathfinder concept. The switchover from a truck platform to a CUV platform allowed engineers to create more room in the vehicle, without compromising features or style. "With the upcoming, fourth-generation model, we're about to re-invent Pathfinder again. We've created a vehicle with an extraordinary balance of SUV capability, thoughtful technology and premium comfort to lead the segment once again," says Al Castignetti, VP and General Manager, Nissan North America.
This is only the beginning for Nissan - we still have two years of redesigns and new models on the way.
