More States Will be Receiving the Nissan LEAF EV
2011's Nissan LEAF was so popular the car had a long waiting list many signed up for, and was only available in a few states.
2012's edition will head to Connell Nissan located at 2850 Harbor Blvd. Costa Mesa, CA 92626 as well as various other dealers who will be privy to the electric car.
As the world's first mass produced all-electric car, LEAF has attracted attention from eco-car lovers and auto critics alike since its introduction last year. Many signed up for long waiting lists in order to get into a LEAF. This time, anyone will be able to test drive one.
Orders for 2012's Nissan LEAF began in Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey and New York. Deliveries of LEAF, with additional standard equipment including quick charging for 2012, will take its place in all key markets by year's end.
"Consumers have spoken, and it's clear that they are looking for a car that produces zero emissions and uses no gas," said Brian Carolin, senior VP of Sales and Marketing at Nissan North America. "We are seeing tremendous consumer interest in the Nissan LEAF in these new markets, particularly in the New York metropolitan area."1
